Your key focus will be on ensuring data security, integrity and availability.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and implement efficient database architectures to meet business requirements.
• Develop and maintain database performance optimization strategies.
• Ensure data security and integrity through appropriate access controls and backup procedures.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of database structures and processes.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
• A minimum of 8 years' experience in MySQL database administration, with a strong background in database design, implementation and maintenance.
• Excellent knowledge of MySQL performance optimization techniques, including indexing, caching and query tuning.
• Strong understanding of database security principles and practices, including access control, encryption and backup procedures.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Desirable Skills:
• Experience with Linux operating system and shell scripting.
• Knowledge of Percona Galera cluster and other distributed database technologies.
• ITIL v3 process certification and service management tools experience.
