Key Responsibilities
As our Data Architect/Manager, you will:
• Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of robust and scalable database models, schemas, and overall data infrastructure.
• Manage and mentor a team of data engineers, analysts, and key stakeholders, promoting a culture of technical excellence and collaboration.
• Translate business needs into technical solutions by working cross-functionally with product, engineering, design, and other teams.
• Evaluate, select, and manage database technologies and tools aligned with the organization's evolving data strategy.
• Monitor system performance, data lifecycle, and integrity, ensuring reliability, scalability, and efficiency.
• Enforce data governance standards and ensure compliance with relevant privacy laws and data protection regulations.
• Provide strategic guidance for data-driven initiatives, supporting executive-level decision-making through a well-architected data foundation.
• Drive cross-functional data initiatives, championing best practices across departments.
• Communicate project progress, risks, and roadblocks to leadership, and proactively resolve issues to ensure successful execution.
Preferred Skills
Requirements
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related discipline.
• Over 8 years of professional experience in database development, data modeling, and data architecture.
• Proven track record of leading teams or managing technical projects successfully.
• Relevant certifications such as CDMP, TOGAF, or similar are highly regarded.
• Strong foundational knowledge of RDBMS concepts, with hands-on experience in both relational and NoSQL databases.
• Experience in the Networking or Security domain is a plus.
• Practical experience in consuming APIs and designing multi-tenant database systems.
• Proficiency with technologies like Oracle, MySQL, Cassandra, Talend, ETL tools, Hadoop, etc.
• Solid understanding of database security, compliance requirements, and regulatory standards.
Skills Required
• Strong leadership and team management abilities, with a focus on motivating, mentoring, and growing high-performing technical teams.
• Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication skills, capable of clearly conveying complex technical ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• High attention to detail to ensure accuracy, performance, and data security in system architecture.
• Ability to manage competing priorities, balance technical work with leadership responsibilities, and consistently deliver results on time.
• Strong project and stakeholder management skills with a focus on achieving measurable business impact.
