Role: AI/ML Senior Engineer
Title: Assistant Vice President/Vice President
Location: ,New York, NY (Day 1 Onsite/Hybrid)
Mode of Work: 3 days per week onsite required

Job Summary
The Director of Technology will spearhead the development and management of technology solutions critical to the Investment Banking group, which advises on and executes mergers, acquisitions, and capital-raising activities (e.g., IPOs), and Capital Markets, which facilitates capital-raising by bridging IB with broader markets. This role demands deep expertise in IB and CM-related systems and a working knowledge of generative AI to drive innovation. The successful candidate will lead cross-functional teams, align technology with strategic business goals, and ensure secure, scalable systems to support global operations.
Key Responsibilities
Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with IB and CM leaders, bankers, and compliance teams to deliver technology solutions that streamline deal execution and capital market operations.
IB Technology Solutions: Develop and maintain systems supporting mergers and acquisitions (e.g., deal management platforms, due diligence tools) and capital-raising activities (e.g., IPO workflow systems, valuation models), ensuring seamless execution and client delivery.
CM Technology Solutions: Manage platforms that bridge IB and broader markets, including syndicate management systems, underwriting platforms, and market data integration tools for debt and equity offerings.
Generative AI Integration: Partner with data science teams to implement generative AI applications, such as automated deal summaries, pitch book generation, or market sentiment analysis, to enhance IB and CM workflows.
Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a high-performing team of engineers, architects, and IT professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration and technical excellence.
Required Background:
10+ years in technology with 5+ investment banking (M&A, ECM, or industry coverage).
MBA or technical degree preferred (e.g., CS, Data Science, or Finance).
Experience in partnering with syndicate desks, origination teams, and compliance to innovate IB and CM systems
Exposure to drive real-time analytics and intelligent alerting using LLMs and NLP systems.
Guide integration of GenAI into pricing models, investor behavior predictions, and issuance strategy.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex financial and technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
