Analyst-Fund Accounting Position at Alternative Path
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Analyst-Fund Accounting to assist one of our esteemed clients. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate with our client's internal and partner teams.
Key Responsibilities:
• Review quarterly fund financial statements prepared by other team members and third-party administrators for accuracy and completeness.
• Assist in the audit of fund financial statements to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
• Reconcile financial documents to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
• Maintain and review cash positions entries for various private equity funds, ensuring timely and accurate updates.
• Independently assess and resolve client queries and requests, providing clear and concise explanations.
• Ensure the accuracy and timely delivery of client deliverables, while overseeing third-party administrators to guarantee quality service.
• Manage key aspects of our department's core functions, driving process improvements and efficiency.
• Present departmental goals and initiatives to internal personnel and existing or prospective clients, promoting effective communication and collaboration.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree (B.A., B.S. or B.B.A.) in accounting or a related field.
• 1-3 years of experience in an accounting/financial industry setting, with a proven track record of success.
• Knowledge of the private equity fund services industry is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills, with a keen eye for detail.
