Key AP Accountant Responsibilities
• Invoice Mastery: Manage the full-cycle invoice processing for multiple entities, including PO matching, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in a high-volume setting.
• Issue Resolution: Take initiative in researching and resolving invoice discrepancies and issues. Your problem-solving skills will be key in maintaining smooth operational flows.
• Communication Hub: Efficiently manage the AP inbox, ensuring all communications are handled promptly and professionally.
• Vendor Relations: Perform vendor statement reconciliations and maintain excellent vendor relationships to ensure accurate and timely accounts settlements.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with the Accounts Receivable (AR) team to resolve non-payment issues and enhance financial processes.
AP Accountant Skills And Experience Required
• Industry Savvy: Direct experience in the construction industry is crucial, giving you an edge in handling industry-specific financial processes.
• ERP Expertise: Exposure to Sage or similar ERP systems is highly desirable, aiding in efficient management of financial data.
• Job Cost Acumen: A solid understanding of Job Cost invoicing is essential, enabling you to manage project-specific financial tasks effectively.
