Job Description
Contract management
- Review contracts or any other documentation where the University has committed itself and assess legal implications that need to be brought to the executive management’s attention.
- Prepare, review and modify contractual instruments to assist and support various business activities.
- Negotiate, review and draft documentation for business transactions.
- The scope of documents includes the real estate, maintenance, marketing, sales, vendor, international, Information Technology, finance etc.
Litigation Management
- Review progress of litigation matters and liaise with and manage external lawyers.
- Maintain effective relationships with various Counsels, legal / statutory bodies, stakeholders for effectively
- Handling issues related to legal matters.
Intellectual Property Right Management
- Discuss and strategies with the external Counsels on pending/new Trademark and copyright matters;
Compliances and Policies development
- Developing and updating policies relating to governance and regulatory affairs and ensuring compliance with applicable laws.
- Excellent knowledge of regulatory framework including policies and processes as per UGC, and other regulatory bodies like Bar Council of India etc.
Right to information
- Coordinating with the internal stakeholders and preparing the responses of the RTI’s to ensure the compliance with applicable laws.
