The Role
The Army Aviation Systems Branch is looking for a Scheduling Officer to manage three high profile project schedules for the UH-60M Black Hawk Utility Helicopter, AH-64E Apache Attack Helicopter and CH-47F Chinook Heavy Lift Helicopter. We are looking for a self-motivated and proactive person to join our project teams.

In this role, you will be responsible for/ but not limited to:

Maintaining complex project schedules for the Black Hawk, Apache and Chinook Projects utilising the CASG approved scheduling tool, Open Plan Professional (OPP).
Maintain schedule integrity and robustness for the Black Hawk, Apache and Chinook Projects through regular analysis, schedule progress updates and health checks.
Report and alert Project Managers on project critical milestones, activities baseline slippages or risks - associated with the schedules.
Engage with Project Managers, Product Managers, System Managers and Key Stakeholders to obtain monthly progress updates.
Assess and evaluate schedule status and draft commentary for input into the monthly reporting tools such as PPRIP, MRM and SPMS.
Raise and manage risks utilising Predict or similar risk tools.
Analyse risks identified in risk mitigation plan/s and integrate into the schedule where appropriate.
Other supporting project tasks as directed by the Project Managers.

About our Team
The Army Aviation Systems Branch (AASB) purpose is to deliver military aviation systems to the capability managers. AASB is responsible for the acquisition and through-life support of all Army helicopters and tactical unmanned aerial systems through both Project Offices (PO) and Systems Program Offices (SPO) within Australia and overseas.

LAND 4507, the UH-60M Utility Helicopter Project Office is responsible for the acquisition of forty UH-60M Black Hawks, training devices and support equipment via Foreign Military Sale (FMS). The Utility Helicopter Management Unit delivers through-life support for the UH-60M Black Hawk against product CA11.

LAND 4503 ARH Replacement will acquire 29 AH-64E Apache to replace Tiger through an FMS case. The project will encompass air platforms, communications and sensor systems, support systems, security, Information and Communications Technology (ICT), training systems, weapons, ordnance and facilities.

Cargo Helicopter and Uncrewed Surveillance Program Office (CHUSPO) conducts acquisition and sustainment activities for the CH-47F Chinook and AASB-supported Uncrewed Aerial Systems fleets.

Be able to interpret and comply with CASG schedule management policy and guidance.
Our project offices are located in Brisbane and Canberra, so travel to participate in working groups may be required.
The preferred location for the position is either Canberra – ACT or Enoggera – QLD, however alternate work locations will be considered.
