Job Description
The A/R Collections Specialist is an important member of the Billing team. The position reports to the Revenue Cycle Leader. The ideal candidate has a solid Medical Accounts Receivable background and the ability to collect on past due accounts effectively and professionally as well as handle cash applications and assist in streamlining processes.
Qualifications: 2 plus years of professional Accounts Receivable and business to business collections experience in a Medical setting is required. Experience with Managed Care, Commercial and Government Payors, prefer knowledge of Managed Care capitation and Quality Measures. Thorough knowledge of CPT codes, Medical Terminology and healthcare regulations. Knowledge of Microsoft Office systems and prefer EClinicalWorks experience. Must have a strong attention to detail. Must have team player mentality, excellent Customer Service and Communication skills.
