Ralph Kerle‘s Art is returning to prestigious Manly in a new high-end art gallery located in Sydney Road, Manly.. Showcasing his contemporary fine art works focused on water-inspired abstraction, the gallery provides a sophisticated, inspiring environment for collectors and art lovers alike.
About the Role
We are seeking an optimistic, proactive Gallery Manager with proven experience in fine art sales to help drive the growth of this exciting new space. This casual role is available 3–5 days per week (6–8 hours per day), with flexibility around your roster.
You will be the welcoming face of the gallery, confidently speaking about individual artworks and the artist’s practice. You will also play a key role in operational co-management, working closely with the artist to maintain the highest standards of gallery presentation, administration, and customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
Warmly greeting visitors, guiding them through the artworks, and sharing the artist’s story
Speaking confidently about modern and contemporary art, inspiring critical thinking and deeper appreciation
Maintaining accurate artwork documentation on digital archive systems and managing website updates
Generating creative ideas and content for social media and digital marketing
Following up sales leads, nurturing client relationships, and closing sales
Assisting with gallery events and exhibition changeovers
Ensuring the gallery is presented to the highest standard at all times
About You
Degree in Art History or similar
Previous experience in gallery operations or fine art sales
Strong knowledge and passion for modern and contemporary art
Skilled communicator who can confidently engage diverse audiences
Trustworthy, consistent, and able to work independently
Proactive, energetic, and solution-focused
Confident in social media marketing and content creation
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Hours and Availability
Casual, flexible role (3–5 days per week, 6–8 hours per day)
Gallery opening hours are Monday to Sunday, 10:00 am to 5:00 pm
