We are looking for enthusiastic and creative Arts & Crafts Tutors to join our team and lead virtual arts and crafts sessions for elderly individuals. This role is ideal for freshers or individuals who are passionate about art and eager to help seniors engage in fun, therapeutic, and creative activities. You will have the opportunity to teach seniors from corporate environments, NGOs, and senior living communities—empowering them to develop new hobbies, express themselves through art, and enjoy the therapeutic benefits of creative activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct Virtual Arts & Crafts Classes ( Beginner and Intermediate Level):
Painting: Intermediate-level watercolors, acrylics, and oil painting techniques
Drawing: Focus on shading, perspective, and figure drawing
Textiles: Intermediate sewing, embroidery, quilting, and knitting/crochet
Mixed Media: Collage, decoupage, and working with different materials like wood, metal, or clay
Upcycling and DIY Crafts: Transforming old items into new creative projects
Jewelry Making: Intermediate beading, wire wrapping, and other jewelry techniques
Create Intermediate Lesson Plans:
Design lesson plans that challenge seniors to build on their existing skills and explore new techniques. Ensure that projects are achievable yet offer a level of difficulty to help students improve their craftsmanship.
Provide Clear Instructions & Demonstrations:
Break down complex techniques into manageable steps and use visual aids (such as videos or images) to help seniors follow along. Offer live demonstrations and encourage students to ask questions.
Encourage Artistic Expression and Creativity:
Foster an environment where seniors feel free to express their creativity and develop their unique artistic styles. Provide personalized feedback and suggestions for improving their projects.Regularly assess students' progress and offer constructive criticism to help them refine their skills. Encourage seniors to share their work and celebrate their successes.Build a sense of community within the class, where participants can interact with each other, share ideas, and feel supported. Encourage discussion about art techniques, experiences, and personal artistic journeys.
