General Commercial lawyers needed

We have had a consistent influx of roles seeking general commercial lawyers in Sydney. Skills and Experience needed:

4+ years' experience
General commercial contracting experience is essential and we are happy to consider exposure to a wide range of industries including: financial services (banking and funds management); consumer, food and retail; energy and resources; government and public sector; construction and infrastructure; education; hotels, leisure and gaming; mining and TMT and transport
Relevant experience might include experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts with suppliers and service providers, in areas such as property, technology, privacy and data, intellectual property, credit, and financing
M&A experience can be helpful, particularly involvement in the integration of new companies/businesses into existing corporate structures, as well as joint venture experience
Procurement experience is highly sought after
Being comfortable providing legal advice relating to competition and consumer law, privacy, product safety, quality and labelling is an advantage for some roles
For some roles experience in disputes and Investigations eg. litigation, disputes, insolvency/debt recovery, regulatory investigations can also be of use, as well knowledge of employment law
You must have the ability to hit the ground running, work autonomously and prioritise
Our clients are looking for lawyers who are happy to be a doer and confident being on the tools, and have the ability to understand and adapt to the needs of a business
As well as excellent legal experience you will need:

Senior stakeholder management skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to interface at all levels, building strong relationships externally and internally
Strong commercial and business acumen
An excellent client service focus, ethic and commitment
The right to live and work in Australia (and be based here) and hold or be able to obtain a current practising certificate
Willingness to engage with Ashurst via an Independent Incorporated Legal Practice or casual employment
