Job Summary
We are seeking a Full-time Assistant Accountant to join our finance team based in Christchurch. This role is responsible for supporting the day-to-day, monthly, and annual accounting activities, including processing and reconciling transactions.
About the Role
Support with day-to-day, monthly, and annual accounting activities, including processing and reconciling transactions.
Preparation and accurate filing of IRD returns.
Managing fixed assets.
Assistance with month-end review results and reporting.
Assistance with reporting development as required.
Oversight of vehicle fleet management.
Provide support and backup to AR and AP team members.
Support our Senior Accountant when required.
Requirements
A commerce degree specialized in accounting.
A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
Strong time management and prioritization skills in a deadline-driven environment.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
The ability to maintain accurate and organized financial records.
A good understanding of accounting principles.
Excellent attention to detail to ensure that records are accurate.
Strong analytical skills.
