• Assist in the preparation of financial reports and statements
• Work on budgeting and forecasting activities
• Ensure compliance with accounting regulations and standards
• Perform analysis on financial data to aid decision-making
• Collaborate with the accounting team to improve financial processes
• Manage and reconcile accounts
• Support internal and external audits
• Assist in other accounting tasks as needed
• Speak to suppliers over the phone
• Journals, debits & credits
Profile
A successful Assistant Accountant should have:
• A degree in Accounting or a relevant field
• AAT Qual
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and regulations
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
• Good organisational and time management skills
• Ability to work well in a team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Handy with technology
