Job Description
Wanguo International Mining Group is a fast-growing gold mining company listed on HKSE Mainboard. The Group operates a large gold mine, Gold Ridge Mine, in Solomon Islands with an annual production ramping up to 130,000oz of gold. You will work in our Sydney CBD office and be responsible for providing accounting support to the Gold Ridge Mine operation.
Key Responsibilities
Purchase invoices and inventory reconciliation, including checking supplier contracts/invoices, clarifying invoice items with the procurement team, preparing imported goods list and assigning inventory code, prior to goods arrival
Daily review of warehouse goods issuance documentation, and liaise with site warehouse staff to ensure compliance with goods issuance procedures
Warehouse Database (Microsoft Access) implementation
Credit card reconciliation, travel record update and staff reimbursement preparation
Fortnightly update Gold Ridge Mine local staff contract information
Quarterly travel to Gold Ridge Mine in Solomon Islands to support warehouse stocktake and reconciliation
Provide support to and backup other finance functions as needed
Language Skills
Proficient in English and Chinese
About you
Proven experience in an Assistant Accountant position
Proven self-initiative and problem-solving skills
Meticulous attention to detail and numeracy skills
Strong work ethic, can-do attitude, and willingness to get involved
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong communication skills and proficiency in managing multiple tasks
Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent and either CA, CPA, or CIMA qualified, or be actively working towards these qualifications
Working knowledge in MS Excel, MYOB Advanced, or similar ERP systems
Previous experience within Mining sectors will be highly regarded.
