Role: Assistant Accountant - Payables
Location: Murarrie, Brisbane (Turrbal and Yuggera Country)
Employment Type: Full-time, 12mth Fixed Term
Join Our Finance Team as an Assistant Accountant – Payables
We’re looking for a detail-oriented finance professional to join our team and support a wide range of accounting activities. From rates and taxes to reconciliations, vendor management, and accounts payable, this role offers variety, responsibility, and the opportunity to make a real difference in how we deliver financial services across Goodstart.
Your Impact:
In this role, you will ensure the accuracy and integrity of Goodstart’s financial operations by managing rates and taxes processing, accruals, reconciliations, and assistant accounting activities. You’ll play a vital part in end-of-month reporting, maintaining vendor relationships, and supporting Accounts Payable to ensure payments are processed on time and in line with policy. Your attention to detail and problem-solving skills will support compliance, improve systems and processes, and contribute to the financial sustainability of the organisation.

You’ll bring to the table:
A minimum of 5 years related accounting / bookkeeping and Accounts Payable experience
Previous experience/ knowledge of SAP
Minimum Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
A Certificate III/IV in Accounting or Bookkeeping (or equivalent) will be highly regarded
Current QLD Working with Children Check
