Assistant Accountant

Job description
SUMMARY

Hybrid working 4 days in the office, the Assistant Accountant position entails a varied role that encompasses accounts payable, General Ledger, intercompany transactions processing, cash flow management, customer onboarding, and month-end tasks.



The Assistant Accountant position will meet and exceed all company and individual goals in line with the Company's policies, procedures and values.


Requirements

· Review and submit retailer agreements and other background documentation to the Treasury Department in the US

· Coding and processing of supplier Invoices

· Prepare payment within individual creditor terms

· Issue and accept Intercompany invoices in IC Tool

· Set up supplier account in Treasury Online system, maintain template limit

· Entry of credit card payments to the expense system

· Processing and payment of staff expenses

· Maintaining and controlling the purchase and sales order process

· Investigating discrepancies in supplier statements/overdue invoices/aged invoices

· Assist with month-end journals and tasks

· Posting of banking journals for the Bank Accounts

· Prepare balance sheet reconciliations at month-end

· Create weekly/monthly cash requirement forecast

· Assist with internal/external audit information requests

· Take the responsibility of daily AltPay reconciliations

· Assist Financial Accountant on statutory reporting and tax (including GST, FBT, employee tax and income tax) preparation work

· Draft government survey for Financial Accountant's review

· Other ad hoc tasks assigned by Financial Accountant and/or Finance Manager from time to time
