Job Description
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
• Assist with regular reviews of workload projections and resources and recommend adjustments as necessary to ensure commitments are fulfilled.
• Review invoices, cost data, schedules, and budgets with appropriate managers to ensure completion on a timely basis
• Works with the Business Unit Leader to proactively coordinate with business development staff to maintain a proper level of backlog
• Identifies and converts new business opportunities to contract backlog
• Direct relationship building, potential project development, proposal development, and contracting between the Firm and clients. Seeks opportunities to cross-sell other H&S services to clients
• Monitor the technical quality and conformance to the client’s requirements of the work products (reports, plans, specifications, etc.) completed for the project; coordinate with other business unit leaders to promote the completion of quality work
• Participate in the preparation and checking of environmental engineering calculations and construction drawings
• Prepare contract proposals and cost estimates
• Oversee the production of effective and high-quality project documents (including reports, drawings, and specifications)
• Monitor project schedules and budgets
• Coordinate projects with other business units, as required
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
• Licensed Professional Engineer
• Experience in drinking water, wastewater and/or stormwater design
• Ability to lead, manage and schedule staff to meet project needs
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Excel, Word)
• Proficient in the use of AutoCAD
• Knowledge of one or more design software packages, including HEC-RAS, XP-SWMM, EPA-SWMM, SewerGems, InfoWater, WaterGems, BioWin, etc.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license
• Must complete a background check
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor of Science in Civil, Chemical or Environmental Engineering
Master of Science Degree in Engineering (preferred)
SALARY RANGE:
Horner & Shifrin, Inc. offers a comprehensive total rewards package and is committed to fair, competitive, market-based compensation. The target salary range for this position is $105,000 to $165,000. Compensation for the successful candidate will consider the candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, and geographic location.
