Our client is a privately held multifamily property owner/operator seeking an Assistant Construction Project Manager to support renovations, capital projects, and day-to-day maintenance across their Chicago portfolio.
This is a hands-on role with strong growth potential—ideal for someone early in their career who wants to build toward a Project Manager position.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist with apartment renovations and capital improvement projects
• Coordinate materials, vendors, and construction crews
• Track project progress and provide status updates
• Support apartment turnovers, inspections, and maintenance projects
• Coordinate appliance purchasing, delivery, and installation
• Assist with pest control coordination across the portfolio
Qualifications
• ~3–5+ years of experience in construction, facilities, or property maintenance
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; PM/property software a plus
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally
• Strong communication skills and a proactive, team-oriented mindset
