DESCRIPTION
The Mere Golf Resort & Spa is a destination for business and pleasure, expansive wedding and event spaces, Championship golf course and an award-winning spa, set in the heart of the Cheshire countryside.
We are currently expanding our dedicated Greenkeeping team and have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Greenkeeper, who will have a vital role in ensuring our golf course is maintained to a championship standard.
The ideal candidate will have:
At least 2 years’ experience as a greenkeeper
NVQ level 2 (or equivalent) in sports turf
Ability to work unsupervised and in a team
High level of attention to detail in all tasks undertaken
Good communication skills
Strong work ethic and self-motivation
Good time management
The below attributes would be an advantage:
Spraying Pa1, 2 and 6
Chainsaw cs 30/31
Possesses a positive ‘can-do’ attitude
A sound understanding of the game of golf
Duties will include:
Daily turf maintenance and preparation to high standards
Maintaining bunkers
Preparation and routine maintenance of machinery
Communicating effectively with colleagues, supervisors, members and guests
Monitor and maintain health and safety working practices
