Job Overview:
The Assistant Legal Manager is responsible for supporting the Legal Manager in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of corporate agreements and legal documents. The role involves ensuring legal compliance, mitigating risk, and protecting the company’s interests in all contracts and legal matters. The individual will also support in managing corporate legal issues, advising stakeholders, and ensuring the legal accuracy and effectiveness of all legal documents.
Key Responsibilities:
• Drafting and Reviewing Legal Documents:
• Draft, review, and revise a wide range of corporate agreements, contracts, and other legal documents, including but not limited to NDAs, partnership agreements, service agreements, licensing agreements, and employment contracts.
• Ensure compliance with legal standards and company policies in all contracts and agreements.
• Identify and mitigate risks in contracts and provide recommendations for negotiation strategies.
• Agreement Development:
• Assist in developing, structuring, and negotiating legal agreements that meet the strategic objectives of the company.
• Collaborate with internal teams (such as finance, HR, procurement, etc.) to ensure alignment and compliance in agreement terms.
• Maintain standard templates for agreements and continuously update them to reflect changes in applicable laws or business requirements.
• Corporate Governance:
• Provide legal support for corporate governance issues, including compliance with corporate law, filings, and regulatory requirements.
• Assist in the drafting and updating of internal policies and procedures.
• Legal Research:
• Conduct legal research on applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards related to corporate legal matters.
• Advise the legal team and company stakeholders on recent legal developments and their potential impact on the business.
• Contract Negotiation:
• Assist in negotiations with external parties, ensuring that the company's interests are well represented and protected.
• Support the Legal Manager in resolving disputes related to contracts and agreements.
• Risk Mitigation:
• Identify potential legal risks in contractual agreements and propose mitigation strategies.
• Ensure that the company’s rights and obligations are clearly defined in all legal documents.
• Legal Advisory:
• Provide day-to-day legal advice to different departments regarding contract interpretation, compliance, and other legal queries.
• Work with the Legal Manager in handling legal disputes, litigation, and other contentious matters.
• Documentation Management:
• Maintain an organized system for storing and managing all legal documents, ensuring they are easily accessible and properly archived.
• Ensure all legal documentation is up-to-date and complies with applicable laws and regulations.
• Compliance and Reporting:
• Ensure that all corporate agreements comply with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
• Assist in regulatory filings and compliance reporting as needed.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB) from a recognized institution.
• Licensed to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.
• At least 3-5 years of experience in corporate legal drafting, contract negotiation, and agreement development.
• Strong understanding of corporate law, contract law, and regulatory requirements.
• Proven experience in drafting and reviewing a wide range of corporate agreements.
Skills and Competencies:
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Proficient in legal research tools and Microsoft Office Suite.

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
