We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Assistant Manager- Employee Relations with 6–8 years of progressive HR experience to manage key functions including payroll administration, budgeting and employee relations. The ideal candidate should be well-versed in HR operations and proficient with platforms like Keka, HROne, and employee feedback tools. A strong command of Microsoft Excel, Office 365, and MS Forms is essential. This role requires a proactive team player with a hands-on approach, analytical thinking, and a passion for optimizing HR processes and employee experiences.

What You’ll Do
• Payroll & HR Operations:
• Manage end-to-end payroll processing ensuring accuracy and compliance with statutory regulations.
• Collaborate with Finance to ensure timely salary disbursements and payroll reconciliations.
• Maintain employee records and HRIS data on tools such as Keka and HROne.
• Handle employee queries related to payroll, tax deductions, and reimbursements.
• Budgeting & Cost Management:
• Assist in the preparation and monitoring of the HR departmental budget.
• Track and report on HR expenses, including benefits, and learning & development.
• Provide data-driven insights to senior management for cost optimization.
• Vendor & Contract Management:
• Manage relationships with external vendors including benefits providers, training partners etc.
• Negotiate contracts and ensure timely renewals and service-level adherence.
• Evaluate vendor performance regularly and ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
• HR Tools & Analytics:
• Maintain and optimize usage of HRMS tools like Keka for workforce management and analytics.
• Leverage employee feedback platforms to monitor engagement and suggest improvements.
• Design and analyze surveys, synthesize insights, and present actionable recommendations.
• Employee Experience & Engagement:
• Support the design and delivery of employee engagement programs and feedback loops.
• Collaborate with the HRBP team to support performance management, onboarding, and offboarding processes.
• Support HR initiatives to improve retention, recognition, and career development programs.

• Ensure compliance with applicable labor laws and internal policies.
• Assist in internal and external HR audits and maintain necessary documentation.

Skills & Qualifications
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 6–8 years of relevant experience in core HR functions with a focus on payroll, budgeting, and vendor management.
• Strong working knowledge of HR systems like Keka, HROne, and familiarity with employee feedback platforms (e.g., Culture Amp, SurveyMonkey, etc.).
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, dashboards), MS Office 365, and MS Forms.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Preferred
• Experience in small-size to mid-size organizations or a dynamic startup environment.
