We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Assistant Manager - EQ - TPM
In this role, you will:

Manage the communications with the Clients for Equity trades - handle Client queries and escalations as well as monitor the Client confirmation database for any exceptions.
Provide high quality processing service to various Operation Hubs and Internal Stakeholders achieving maximum customer satisfaction with the specified SLAs.
Responsible for rapport building and resolving customer inquiries in a professional manner.
Facilitate team and site meetings. Support training and process migration.
Acquire and update knowledge on procedures related to processes.
Process work as requested by line management / customer. Ensure that work is completed in accordance with established procedures and standards.
Work well independently, complete assigned tasks within established timeframe, and complete regular assignments without reminders or additional requests.
Work productively and professionally. Demonstrates ways to improve customer service and increase productivity.
Maintain HSBC internal control standards, including the timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators, accompanied by the appropriate internal control standards relevant to the role.
Implement the Group Compliance Policy, as applicable to the role.
Responsibility for effective implementation of process and control initiatives
To be aware of the Operational Risk that associated with the role, and to ensure that all actions during the employment with HSBC take account of the likelihood of operational risk occurring.

Role Context
The operations are organized in product teams which are in line with the overall MSS Operations structure: Equities, Fixed Income, FX/MM, Cross Product Services, Client Data Services and Collateral Management & Client Valuation Operations.
The jobholder must identify and explore opportunities / initiatives which would enhance the team’s contribution to the business and the Group. In addition, the jobholder is required to maintain effective working relationship with various departments to ensure that the team supports the delivery of business objectives.
The job holder is guided by the Head of Equities, Group Standards Manual and Group Operations FIM and local laws and regulations.
Management of Risk
To abide by the Group Compliance Policy by containing compliance risk in conjunction with the relevant Compliance Department. The term compliance embraces all relevant laws, rules and codes with which the business has to apply.
To continually re-assess the operational risks inherent in the business, taking account of changing economic or market conditions, legal and regulatory requirements, operating procedures, management restructures, and the impact of new technology in conjunction with the donor Group companies.
To fully comply with all applicable policies, procedures, laws and regulations in order to ensure that HSBC is not exposed to financial loss, and where such a situation exists, to work towards reducing the quantum of such loss.
Observation of Internal Controls
To maintain HSBC internal control standards, including the timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
What you will need to succeed in the role:
Experience on Securities/ Fixed Income and Foreign Exchange would be an advantage
A degree in accounting/finance/management/business administration. Higher qualification is not a bar, provided aspirations commensurate with the position.
Good Communication, planning and organizing skills.
Possess knowledge on MS Office with good numerical and analytical skills.
Leadership skills, with ability to build rapport with and relate to and effectively develop a wide range of people.
Ability to learn quickly and transfers knowledge appropriately, understand and interpret numeric data.
Ability to set priorities and work effectively.
Ability to speak and understand English fluently, writes business letters and reports, and has good conversational / telephone skills.
Experience in producing and preparing reports.
Good Management skills and initiate improvements.
Able to work under challenging environment with tight timelines.
Willing to work during the US time zone – The team follow the East Standard Time.
Background on Equities Settlements process for various markets across the globe and Market Regulations would be an advantage.
