Job description, work day and responsibilities
Target: Financial management and control, Commercial operations and Proper Tax Compliance, financial management reporting for the business needs, liaison with external advisors on all audit, tax, financial and legal issues.
Reporting Line: Reporting to Finance Director India (and Head of Finance Asia)
Job responsibilities
• Responsible for day to day accounting including ledger maintenance, accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliation and P&L reconciliation
• Handling Tax Compliances to ensure no risk for Company. Support the Finance Director for full set of Accounting.
• Prepare monthly and annual closing of India office
• Ensuring proper compliances in GST, WHT, Income Tax etc. Alerting Finance Director of any possible tax outcomes
• Support Finance Director in preparing management reports including budgets and forecasts
• Prepare financial statement preparations for local audits purpose
• Accounting & Book-Keeping: Responsible for full sets of accounts, including the operations of general ledgers, AR and AP, journal entry. Maintain proper filings and audit trail records.
• Handle P/L accounts, balance sheet reconciliation
• Collaborate with auditors for annual audit; Liaising with external auditors and assist year end audit
• Daily review of accounting documents including timely reconciliations, payments, etc.
• Accounts Payable Management including MSME vendors
• Accounts Receivable follow up with aggressive manner, DSO Controls
• Communicating effectively within department and external parties
• Assist in ad hoc duties when required
Requirements
• Degree or above in Finance and Accounting related discipline with professional accounting qualification (CA Inter / MBA Finance etc. or equivalent)
• At least 10-15 years of accounting experience and minimum 5 years preferably in multinational companies
• Experience in full set of accounting and financial reporting
• Good knowledge of local taxation related issues and international accounting standards
• Hands-on experience in import / export related paper works
• Good command of spoken and written English
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint, experience in SAP will be an advantage
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and with good analytical mind, willing to learn, supportive, detail-minded, well organized and presentable
