Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Draft, review, negotiate and finalize agreements to facilitate business go-live, ensuring timely closures through

collaboration with internal stakeholders and offering guidance for course corrections when necessary.

• Contract templates standardization, define negotiable/non-negotiable clauses based on risk categories, and

enhance existing contracting standards to achieve top class status and incorporate new learnings.

• Develop a commercial understanding of the business and product lines for risk assessment.

• Actively monitor the regulatory environment and identify, interpret, and analyze legislations, amendments, and

notifications, highlighting implications and applicability to relevant functions and products.

• Create and maintain a repository of applicable laws, notifications and guidelines for quick reference. Offer expert

legal advice to management on streamlining contracting processes, stamping, e-signatures, repository access, etc.

• Implement an auditable and robust process for contract management, renewals, monitoring key requirements,

adhering to TAT expectations, and establishing an efficient repository and retrieval system.

 Performs research and analysis of routine problems and issues prepares correspondence related to work.

 Research relevant statues, rulings and precedents to be used as a basis for answering requests for legal opinions of a routine or limited scope.

Required Skill set:

 3-6 years of post-qualification work experience. Prior experience in the Indian payments landscape is preferable.

 strong organizational skills to prioritize and manage multiple time-sensitive projects simultaneously

Familiarity with the various guidelines issued by RBI, NPCI, Card Association, PSO and other regulatory bodies related to payment ecosystem.

 Adept at developing interpersonal relationships.

 Excellent communication skills, both oral and written required, negotiation skills required.

 Have strong drafting and communication skills.

 Exposure to a variety of contracts – Complex Banking, IT /software development, licensing, service contracts -both revenue and expense line contracts.
