Looking for new opportunities and want to join a thriving European Tax team? Are you a detail-oriented tax professional with a solid technical foundation and a passion for delivering accuracy in a dynamic, collaborative environment?
Reporting to the Director of Global Tax Reporting and Analysis, you’ll play a vital role in delivering accurate tax reporting, forecasting, and compliance services across our European entities. You’ll also support senior tax managers and finance teams with tax data analysis, contributing to our business’s broader regulatory and strategic goals.
We’re seeking an Assistant Tax Manager to help oversee corporate tax operations for our European subsidiaries. You’ll be proactive, analytical, and eager to identify areas for process improvement. Experience with multinational tax operations and familiarity with tax accounting systems are a plus, but what matters most is your ability to deliver timely, accurate results while ensuring compliance with local and international tax regulations. This role would be based primarily out of the Solihull office, working on a remote basis with occasional on-site meetings with the team.
What impact you will make:
Prepare and review income tax calculations and reports
Coordinate with tax and finance teams across Europe
Support transfer pricing and manage tax compliance providers
Track tax filing deadlines and respond to tax authority enquiries
Assist with Tax Residency Certificates and documentation
Look for ways to improve processes using better tools and tech
Help identify tax planning opportunities to reduce tax costs
Support financial forecasting and planning
Assist with audit readiness and internal controls (SOX)
Help integrate new systems and stay updated on tax laws
Build strong relationships across departments
Take on other tasks as needed to support the team
What you need to succeed:
Bachelor's degree and ACA, CTA, ICAS (or working toward)
3+ years of corporate tax experience, ideally in public practice
European tax and in-house experience are welcome but not required
German language skills a plus—not a must
Self-driven and always looking to improve how things are done
Strong skills in Excel and other MS Office tools
Experience with tax research software is helpful
Great communicator and team player
Well-organised and able to juggle multiple priorities
Ready to travel occasionally in Europe (though not often)
