Full job description
Job Summary: The Finance Department is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Fee Operations Accountant to join our Fee department at Bessemer Trust in Woodbridge, NJ. To ensure the smooth operation of the fee lifecycle (serving over 50,000 client accounts), this individual will work collaboratively with the dedicated team. The lifecycle encompasses all stages, from initial implementation through ongoing maintenance to offboarding upon closure. This position presents an exciting opportunity to launch a successful career at a leading firm. The role reports directly to the department manager.
The successful candidate will be a self-starter and responsible for managing and overseeing fee-related accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in all processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform all reconciliations of fee-related accounts, identify and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
Preparing and processing all invoice related tasks, including but not limited to payment processing, reconciliation, maintenance and distributions.
Prepare month-end close processes and work closely with corporate accounting to ensure the month-end close is completed by the specified deadline.
Ensure all financial transactions are processed and recorded in Oracle-ERP, Global Plus and Cash Management System (CMS)
Work under pressure to meet all deadlines and ensure timely completion of tasks.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy with a focus on automation.
Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations related to Accounting Operations.
Additional Responsibilities: The duties listed above are not exhaustive and may include other tasks as required to support the team and company objectives.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance preferred.
Experience: Minimum of [2] years of experience in accounting.
Skills:
Microsoft Office Excel – intermediate skillset is required
FIS Global Plus, Oracle-ERP, Smartview experience is a plus.
Ability to understand and meet the urgency around deadlines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Willing and available to work overtime when required.
The base salary range for this position is $70,000.00 - $85,000.00. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skills, experience, and qualification for the role. It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range.
In addition, this position may be eligible for a discretionary incentive based on individual and company performance. Eligible employees may participate in a 401 (k) program with a company profit sharing contribution, medical, dental, vision, life insurance and disability coverage and paid holidays, vacation, and sick days.
