Context & Job Purpose
The Associate Analyst will support core Finance operations by maintaining accurate financial data, preparing reports, and ensuring adherence to internal controls and compliance standards. The role offers exposure across various accounting activities, providing a strong grounding in financial processes within the Global Operations Support Centre (GOSC).
With opportunities to rotate across functional areas, the Associate Analyst will build technical expertise, strengthen analytical skills, and contribute to cross-functional projects. This position is designed as a foundational role to prepare the individual for expanded responsibilities within the Finance organization.
Key responsibilities
Accounting Operations
• Support corporate action activities including bank reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end closing tasks.
• Assist with daily accounting operations and maintenance of ledgers.
• Prepare and post journals for monthly reporting cycles.
• Maintain proper accounting records, documentation, and audit-ready files.
Reporting & Analysis
• Prepare basic financial reports using MS Excel and other relevant tools.
• Provide ad hoc analytical support to the Finance team as required.
• Assist in generating internal reports to support business decision-making.
Stakeholder Collaboration
• Coordinate with internal teams and stakeholders to resolve accounting-related queries.
• Manage multiple priorities in line with stakeholder expectations and internal timelines.
• Support cross-functional teams on special assignments and projects.
Process Improvement
• Contribute to documentation of processes, workflows, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Support identification of opportunities for process optimization and operational efficiency.
Experience & Qualifications Required
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• 0–2 years of experience in Accounting or Finance.
• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles.
• Proficiency in MS Excel (formulas, basic reporting).
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Working knowledge of Oracle, SAP, or similar ERP systems is an advantage (not mandatory).
• High attention to detail and eagerness to learn.
• Strong collaboration skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
