Position Summary

As the Associate, City HR - Delhi, you will support the implementation of the vertical strategy for all our stakeholders (Staff, Fellows, Volunteers, Interns and Consultants). Through the role, you will demonstrate operational excellence, problem solving and project management skills. You will also be responsible for laying the basis for a strong city culture and work closely with the HR Manager and other teams to ensure high engagement, development and retention of Staff and Fellows.

Responsibilities

As an Associate, City HR - Delhi, you will play a pivotal role in supporting and executing HR processes, enhancing team culture, and driving learning and development initiatives. Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

1. HR Process Support & Execution
• Develop and implement strategies to foster a high-performance culture among Fellows, Volunteers, and Interns.
• Oversee the hiring process, including vetting applications, conducting HR interviews, and coordinating with applicants and hiring managers to fill key positions on the Staff team.
• Design and execute a comprehensive volunteer investment and engagement strategy for the city.
• Collaborate with staff to develop and implement critical policies for Fellows, such as Support Plans, Child Protection, and Code of Conduct, and work with the People Manager to build capacity in PMs on these topics.
• Support various HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, development, performance management, transitions, and exits.
• Secure partnerships and create a support ecosystem for mental health and well-being in collaboration with National Human Resources and the City Team.
• Work with the Administration Assistant to verify Fellow payroll data monthly for stipend processing.
• Manage and document data related to Fellows.

2. Learning & Development
• Conduct regular school visits to understand the ground reality and incorporate these observations into Fellow initiatives and strategies.
• Support and execute learning and development initiatives for managers and associates across all verticals in collaboration with the People Manager and vertical heads.
• Collect and monitor data from learning surveys, Fellow engagement surveys, and exit interviews, and continually loop feedback into the design of the space.
• Support execution of monthly All City Staff Meetings (ACSMs) and bi-annual Staff retreats.

Minimum Qualifications, Experiences and Expectations
• Bachelor’s degree and 1-2 years of work experience.
• Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written.

• Data orientation and impact analysis.
• Critical thinking to solve reactive, complex and critical issues
