TITLE: Associate Director, Investment Banking


DUTIES: Scotia Capital (USA), Inc. seeks Associate Director, Investment Banking in New York, NY to lead and manage the execution of M&A and capital raise transactions. Demonstrate excellent business writing skills, including the ability to write compelling selling memorandums and presentations. Assist in the marketing and negotiation of existing engagements. Build relationships and maintain direct contact with clients, prospective clients, and professional advisors. Ability to lead junior bankers throughout a transaction; includes taking responsibility for accuracy; quality checking finished products with regards to content, consistency and grammar.


REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Global Finance, Finance or a related field and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or related occupation: utilizing Microsoft Excel to create financial models for pitches and deals; utilizing PowerPoint to create pitch materials and client materials; utilizing finance and accounting to analyze businesses and analyze valuation; utilizing experience with healthcare industry and life sciences to evaluate companies and analyze strategic moves in the sector. 10% travel required nationally. FINRA Series 79TO, Series 63, and SIE registration required. Telecommuting and/or working from home may be permissible pursuant to company policies. When not telecommuting, must report to work site. In the alternative the employer will accept a Master’s degree in one of the stated fields and three (3) years of experience in the above-listed skills.
