Position Summary:

The Department of Neurosurgery at [Institution Name] invites applications for a full-time Associate Professor of Neurosurgery. This is a senior academic faculty position suited for an accomplished neurosurgeon with a strong track record in clinical care, teaching, research, and leadership. Key Responsibilities:Clinical Practice:

Deliver expert-level neurosurgical care in an inpatient and outpatient setting.
Maintain an active surgical practice with potential subspecialty focus (e.g., spine, neuro-oncology, cerebrovascular, pediatric, functional).
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive patient care.
Contribute to the development and expansion of clinical services and programs.
Academic and Teaching:

Teach and mentor medical students, neurosurgery residents, and fellows.
Lead educational initiatives, curriculum development, and training program improvements.
Serve as a role model and advisor for junior faculty and trainees.
Research and Scholarship:

Conduct and lead original research in clinical, translational, or basic science domains.
Secure research funding through grants and institutional support.
Publish in peer-reviewed journals and present at national and international conferences.
Contribute to a culture of academic excellence within the department.
Leadership and Administration:

Participate in departmental and institutional governance, committees, and strategic initiatives.
Contribute to faculty development and mentorship.
Assist in recruiting faculty, residents, and staff as needed.
Required Qualifications:

MCh, DNB degree (or international equivalent).
Board-certified in Neurosurgery.
Eligible for medical licensure in [State].
Minimum of 5–7 years post-residency experience with academic appointment at the Assistant Professor level (or equivalent experience).
Demonstrated excellence in clinical neurosurgery.
Proven track record of scholarly activity, teaching, and leadership.
