Responsibilities
• Teaching :
• Develop and deliver high-quality undergraduate and / or graduate law courses in assigned areas of expertise.
• Employ innovative teaching methodologies to engage students and foster critical thinking.
• Advise and mentor students on academic and professional development.
• Participate in curriculum development and assessment.
• Research and Scholarship :
• Conduct original, scholarly research that contributes to the legal field.
• Publish articles in leading law reviews and other reputable scholarly outlets.
• Secure external research funding to support research initiatives.
• Present research findings at academic conferences and workshops.
• Supervise and mentor law students engaged in research projects.
• Service :
• Serve on university and law school committees as assigned.
• Participate in professional and community service activities.
• Engage in outreach and public service activities to promote legal education and the law school.
• Contribute to the intellectual life of the law school through seminars, workshops, and other scholarly activities.
Qualifications
• Education :
• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Ph.D. or equivalent terminal degree in law or a related field is preferred.
• Experience :
• Significant experience teaching law courses at the university level.
• Demonstrated record of scholarly research and publication in leading law journals.
• Experience in mentoring and advising law students.
• Experience in securing external research funding (preferred).
• Skills and Abilities :
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills.
• Ability to teach a variety of law courses.
• Ability to conduct independent legal research and analysis.
• Commitment to academic excellence and student success.
