When you join Aspreys Accountants, you become a valued member of a wider team. You join a team that cares passionately about your career and how you grow with us, as well as helping you achieve your personal goals. We are a growing practice with offices in Weybridge & Ashtead and are looking for an ambitious and driven individual who is looking to continue their studies with us to become a fully qualified ACA/ACCA accountant.
You will be given support to complete your professional exams (course materials, tuition fees and exam costs), with paid study leave per exam.
You will be able to put your knowledge into practice by assisting with a portfolio of clients where you will receive support from the team to continuously improve your skills.
You will receive regular team training, and you’ll be given time to ensure that you keep up to date with the latest changes in accounting and technology.
Enjoy flexible working with 3 days in the office (Tues-Thurs) across our two offices (Weybridge & Ashtead)— collaboration is key, so occasional presence at both offices will be required. The rest you can work from home if you wish, wherever you feel most comfortable to get the work done.
You’ll be involved in educating our clients to understand their numbers within Xero, while helping them to achieve their personal and business goals. We’ll help you get to know them quickly so you can continue to help them grow and succeed.
You will be part of an organisation that is always looking for a more efficient way of working, innovating, and challenging the way that we do things. Your ideas will always be valued!
We love technology and are always keeping up to date with new software to help both us and our clients.
What will you receive by working at Aspreys Accountants?
We're offering a competitive salary of £26.5k-£33k (based on experience).
Flexi hours and hybrid working.
You will be a valuable part of the team and be able to develop in a growing and ambitious accountancy practice.
You'll be awarded benefits, including access to the onsite state of the art gym and phone allowance.
23 days plus 8 bank holidays, plus 1 day off for your birthday!
We'll contribute to your pension scheme.
What do we need our Associate/Semi-Senior Accountant to be? You will:
Preparation of Limited Company financial statements.
Preparation of personal self-assessment tax returns.
Preparation, Review & submission of VAT and CIS for our clients.
Complete pre year-end reviews to assist with our annual accounts process.
Have the opportunity to get involved with our growing business, looking for opportunities to increase services whilst always keeping the clients best interest in mind.
Be confident in looking after clients. You'll know when to pick up the phone, offer a Zoom or just to say, ‘Hi, how are you?’.
Be confident with Xero & QB, along with other practice-based software, and enjoy adopting new tech.
Minimum AAT Qualified with previous experience in practice required and wishing to study or continuing towards ACA/ACCA.
You love to provide excellent client support as well as educate your clients on the best day-to-day practices, systems or processes, for their business. Always going the extra mile!
