Role Description
This is a full-time role as an Associate/Senior Associate - ESG at Legitpro Associates LLP located in Gurugram. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ESG-related legal matters, with a passion for sustainability and corporate responsibility. This role requires a strategic thinker who can provide high-quality legal advice to clients and contribute to the growth of the ESG practice.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide expert legal advice on ESG matters including sustainability, corporate governance, and social responsibility.
• Assist clients in developing and implementing ESG strategies and policies.
• Conduct ESG due diligence for mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate transactions.
• Stay abreast of evolving ESG regulations and standards and advise clients on compliance.
• Draft and review ESG-related documentation, including policies, reports, and disclosure statements.
• Represent clients in ESG-related disputes and regulatory proceedings.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams within the firm to provide comprehensive legal support.
• Engage in business development activities to expand the firm's ESG practice.
Qualifications
• LL.B/LL.M or Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field
• Prior experience of 3-5 years in ESG certification, research, reporting, or consulting is must
• Strong knowledge of ESG frameworks, standards, and regulations
• Proficiency in data analysis and the ability to interpret and communicate complex data
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
• Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience with ESG reporting tools and software is a plus
• Professional certifications in ESG or related fields are a plus
