The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in supervising and mentoring staff, managing discovery, and preparing for trial with minimal supervision. The role demands expertise in drafting legal documents and a commitment to excellence in legal practice. Admittance to practice in Florida is required, and additional state admissions are a significant advantage.Duties:Manage a diverse caseload in state and federal courts, ensuring efficient handling and resolution of cases.Supervise and mentor junior attorneys, paralegals, and other staff members.Oversee discovery processes, including managing document production and responding to discovery requests.Take and defend depositions, demonstrating a thorough understanding of legal procedures and client interests.Draft and file legal documents including petitions, complaints, motions, and briefs with minimal supervision.Prepare for and represent clients in trial, ensuring effective advocacy and presentation.Maintain and build client relationships through regular updates and consultations.Provide strategic legal advice and develop case strategies to achieve favorable outcomes.Stay current with legal trends, case law, and changes in property casualty and civil litigation.Requirements:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Admitted to practice law in the State of Florida.3+ years of experience in Property Casualty, 1st Party Property, or Civil Litigation.Additional admissions in other states are highly desirable.Proven ability to manage cases independently with minimal supervision.Experience in supervising and mentoring legal staff.Demonstrated proficiency in drafting legal documents and preparing for trial.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Certifications:Admitted to practice law in the State of Florida (additional state admissions are a bonus).Skills:Expertise in Property Casualty, 1st Party Property, or Civil Litigation.Strong experience in managing discovery processes and taking/defending depositions.Proficiency in drafting petitions, complaints, motions, and briefs.Ability to prepare for and conduct trials effectively.Excellent supervisory and mentoring skills.Strong organizational and time-management abilities.Effective communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Benefits Offered:Competitive, top-of-market salary or production-based pay option.Health insurance coverage.Paid time off and parental leave.Professional development assistance.
