About the Role

In this role, you will contribute to the effective delivery of audits across Quilter’s Internal Audit Plan; to help the Board, Executive Management and the Audit and Risk Committees of Quilter protect the assets, reputation and sustainability of the organisation.
Responsibilities include:
Assessing whether all significant risks are identified and appropriately reported by Management and the Risk function to the Board, Executive Management and the Audit and Risk Committees of Quilter.
Assessing whether risks are adequately controlled.
Finding ways to improve the effectiveness of governance, risk management and the system of internal controls.
Develop a thorough understanding of Quilter’s business processes in scope for assigned audits.
Working on multiple audit assignments, delivering to deadlines and budgets and in accordance with IA methodology and agreed quality standards.
Execution of audits with involvement at all stages of the audit process including planning, fieldwork and reporting.
Engage with business unit process owners to understand processes and identify key risks.
Perform audit testing that is focused on key risks and makes use of techniques such as data analytics.
Demonstrate application of root cause analysis to drive value add audit findings which reflect the evolving risk and control environment.
Propose clear, practical and value add actions to address control weaknesses identified.
Manage and perform Issue Assurance activities on a quarterly basis.
Ensure key stakeholders are kept abreast of Internal Audit observations during the audit and contribute to developing Internal Audit’s relationship with stakeholders beyond the audit.
