Description
Join the team as an Assistant Vice President in Fund Management. With a passion for funds' financial accounting and reporting, you'll work in a high performing team to deliver up to date reporting, analysis and commentary on the financial position and performance of the group.
In this role you'll be responsible for review of the income statement, balance sheet and other financial statement notes including variance analysis and commentaries. You will be liaising with external stakeholders to ensure the financial statements delivered are complete and accurate. You'll also be responsible for review of monthly and quarterly deliverables including reports and responses for queries from both internal and external stakeholders.
You'll adhere to regulatory compliance for the funds and work on projects for implementation of new accounting standards in collaboration with relevant teams, group restructures and acquisitions, as well as advising financial control teams on group presentation and consolidation accounting.
You'll be liaising with external auditors, resolve their queries and be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective management of deliverables within timeframes, as well as the integrity and completeness of financial records and ensuring compliance with finance control standards. You'll have the opportunity to continuously innovate with a focus on improving processes to enhance efficiencies and add value whilst ensuring quality consciousness in all aspects of the team.
To be successful in this role, you'll have a postgraduate accounting qualification (CA or CPA), as well as 8-10 years of relevant post qualification experience with a strong background in financial accounting and reporting services. You'll also demonstrate a deep understanding of the reporting requirements under IFRS, particularly standards that are relevant to the banking industry. You will also demonstrate the ability to work in a virtual global team, manage cross-border relationships and be willing to travel internationally if required.
