Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced AWS DevOps Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing cloud infrastructure, automating processes, and optimizing deployment pipelines. You will work closely with development and operations teams to ensure seamless integration, delivery, and maintenance of cloud-native applications.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, implement, and manage scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant systems on AWS.
• Develop, configure, and maintain AWS infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Create, manage, and optimize CI/CD pipelines for automated builds, testing, and deployments using tools like Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline, or GitLab CI/CD.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshooting issues, and implementing solutions to maintain the highest system efficiency and reliability.
• Implement automation scripts and configurations using scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Manage containerized applications using Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes (EKS).
• Set up and manage security and compliance standards for AWS cloud environments.
• Perform cost optimization and capacity planning of AWS resources to ensure cost-effective and scalable solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement DevOps processes, establish best practices, and promote continuous improvement.
• Manage and maintain application logs, system metrics, and alerts using AWS CloudWatch or third-party monitoring solutions like Datadog or Prometheus.
• Handle code deployments in all environments and work with development teams to resolve code-related issues.
Required Skills and Qualifications
• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• 3+ years of experience working as a DevOps Engineer with a focus on AWS.
• Strong experience with AWS services, including but not limited to EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, Lambda, ECS/EKS, CloudFront, and CloudWatch.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, AWS CodePipeline, or CircleCI.
• Expertise in containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes (EKS).
• Familiarity with logging and monitoring tools like AWS CloudWatch, ELK Stack, Datadog, or Prometheus.
• Strong understanding of security best practices, including identity and access management, encryption, and security group configurations.
• Experience with automation and configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
• AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or AWS Certified Solutions Architect.
• Experience with multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) and hybrid cloud architectures.
• Familiarity with serverless architectures and experience with AWS Lambda.
• Experience in implementing DevSecOps practices and integrating security into the CI/CD pipeline.
• Knowledge of data services and databases such as DynamoDB, RDS, or Redshift..
