Job Description
We are hiring a highly skilled Senior Azure Data Engineer with strong expertise in end-to-end data engineering, Azure cloud services, and large-scale data platform implementations. The candidate must have a solid background working with top MNCs in India and extensive experience designing, building, and optimizing data pipelines and architectures.
Key Responsibilities
Architect and implement scalable and secure data solutions on Azure.
Build and optimize Data Pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and Data Flows.
Implement data ingestion, data integration, and data transformation for large enterprise workloads.
Design and manage data lake and data warehouse environments.
Optimize performance of Azure SQL Data Warehouse / Synapse Analytics.
Work with DevOps to automate CI/CD pipelines for data workflows.
Collaborate with data scientists, BI engineers, and product teams.
Ensure compliance with security, governance, and data quality standards.
Required Technical Skills
12+ years of overall IT experience with at least 7–8 years in Data Engineering.
Strong hands-on experience with:
Azure Data Factory (ADF)
Azure Databricks (PySpark/Scala)
Azure Synapse Analytics
Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2
Azure Stream Analytics for near real-time ingestion
Azure Event Hub / Service Bus / IoT Hub
Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases:
Azure SQL, SQL Server, Cosmos DB, PostgreSQL
Advanced ETL/ELT development and orchestration skills.
Strong programming expertise in Python, PySpark, SQL, Shell scripting.
Experience implementing DataOps and CI/CD with Azure DevOps / Git.
Knowledge of data modeling, SCD, Partitioning, Lakehouse architecture.
Expertise in performance tuning for SQL/Data pipelines.
Good understanding of security (RBAC, Key Vault, Managed Identities).
Experience with enterprise messaging systems & API integrations.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Power BI, Delta Lake, and ML model integration.
Familiarity with Kubernetes, Spark clusters, and serverless compute.
Prior experience migrating on-prem data platforms to Azure Cloud.
Lead/architect experience in large-scale data transformation programs.
Soft Skills
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Ability to guide teams and contribute to architectural strategies.
Proven experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
