Role Description
This is a hybrid contract role based in New Delhi, with flexible work-from-home options. As a Public Policy Manager at Bandhya Foundation, you will play a pivotal role in developing and advocating public policy strategies with a strong focus on education and child development. You will be responsible for managing governmental affairs and legislative relations, and you will lead efforts to engage Members of Parliament and other elected representatives, particularly on education reform and child-centered policy initiatives.
A core aspect of this role involves consulting with MPs and local representatives to co-design and implement Public-Private Partnership (PPP) models for establishing and managing safe, inclusive, after-school spaces. These initiatives aim to create sustainable learning and development environments for children, with a strong emphasis on community engagement and inter-sectoral collaboration.
The position requires strong project management, stakeholder coordination, and policy advocacy skills, as well as a passion for equity in education and child rights.
Responsibilities:
• Build and maintain relationships with MPs, local representatives, and government bodies to influence child-centered education policy.
• Co-design after-school safe spaces through PPP models in collaboration with community leaders and private partners.

• Monitor policy developments and legislative changes at the state and national levels relevant to education, children’s welfare, and rural development.
• Represent Bandhya Foundation in forums, meetings, and consultations with policymakers, civil society, and donors.
Qualifications:
• Proven experience in governmental affairs, public policy development, and stakeholder engagement, preferably in the education or child development sector.
• Experience working directly with elected representatives, especially Members of Parliament, on policy initiatives.
• Familiarity with Public-Private Partnership (PPP) frameworks and community-based project implementation.
• Strong analytical and legislative relations skills.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and project management abilities.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Public Policy, Political Science, Education, Development Studies, or related field.
