Job Summary
We’re hiring experienced Bank Carers to join our warm, nurse-led team supporting clients in their own homes.
Interviews held on Saturday 16th August, 9am–5pm at our Barnsley office.
Suite 3, BizSpace, Oaks Business Park, Barnsley, S71 1HT
About the role:
Deliver high-quality personal care, medication support, and companionship
1–4 daily home visits per client (staff may complete more)
Support delivered during morning, dinner, tea, and evening runs
Local community routes around Barnsley
Pay rates:
£13.21/hr weekdays
£14.50/hr weekends
You must have:
Experience working in care (domiciliary, residential, or similar)
A caring, compassionate approach
Good communication and timekeeping skills
Ability to follow care plans, safeguarding, and confidentiality protocols
Reliable transport

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to provide high-quality support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. The ideal candidate will have experience in various care settings, including nursing homes, care homes, and assisted living facilities. This role requires a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our clients, particularly those with Alzheimer’s and dementia-related conditions.
Duties
Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
Support clients with meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition
Administer medications as prescribed and monitor client health status
Implement care plans tailored to individual needs and preferences
Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities
Assist with mobility and transportation, including driving clients to appointments or social outings
Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a safe and clean environment
Handle heavy lifting when necessary for client transfers or mobility assistance
Manage behaviours effectively through positive reinforcement techniques
Maintain accurate records of client progress and communicate any changes to the care team
Experience
Previous experience in senior care, home care, or hospice care is highly desirable
Familiarity with medical terminology and basic first aid practices is beneficial
Experience working with individuals with Alzheimer’s or dementia is an advantage
Knowledge of case management principles and behaviour management strategies is preferred
A valid driving licence and access to your own car with business insurance is essential for this role
