Here’s what you’ll be up to…
As a Behavioural Therapist within our Children’s Services team, you will deliver high-quality, evidence based behavioural assessment and intervention to children aged 0–12 years and their families. Working within a family centred, strengths-based and transdisciplinary framework, you will support children with developmental delays, disabilities and/or mental health needs to achieve meaningful and measurable outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
Conduct behavioural and functional assessments for children aged 0–12 years
Develop and implement Positive Behaviour Support Plans and individualised intervention strategies
Deliver evidence-based therapy across clinic, home, childcare and school settings
Provide parent/carer coaching and facilitate group programs
Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated care
Maintain accurate documentation and NDIS-compliant reporting
Contribute to quality improvement and uphold legislative and organisational requirements
Success in this role means helping children achieve meaningful outcomes while building confidence and capability in the people around them.

What are we looking for?
We are looking for someone who has:
A tertiary qualification in Psychology, Applied Behaviour Analysis, Social Work or related field
Experience with NDIS, early childhood intervention, and working with children with dual diagnosis (intellectual/developmental disabilities and mental health needs).
Demonstrated experience working with children and families in behavioural intervention or therapy.
Knowledge of Applied Behaviour Analysis and Positive Behaviour Support
Experience working within NDIS and early intervention frameworks
Experience in planning, implementing, and evaluating group programs.
Strong assessment, report writing and communication skills
Registration with relevant professional body (e.g. AHPRA, APS, VIT).
A current Working with Children Check and National Criminal History Check
Current driver’s licence
Experience working with children with autism, developmental delays or behavioural support needs will be highly regarded.

You will be required to undertake employment checks, which may include a Criminal History Check, Qualification Check, Working with Children Check, Medical Declaration and/or a Functional Test, as relevant to the position for which you have applied.
