DESCRIPTION

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Billing Manager to oversee and manage the billing operations for Dr. MobiCare. The Billing Manager will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely billing processes, managing a team of billing staff, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.


Responsibilities for Billing Manager:

Manage the day-to-day operations of the billing department, ensuring accurate and timely claims processing.

Train, mentor, and supervise billing staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.

Communicate effectively with insurance providers, patients, and internal departments regarding billing issues and resolutions.

Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies related to billing and reimbursement.

Prepare financial reports and track performance metrics for billing operations.

Provide guidance on complex billing and coding issues, working to ensure reimbursement maximization.

Review and resolve accounts receivable issues, ensuring timely payment from insurance carriers and patients.

Stay updated on healthcare billing regulations, insurance policies, and coding practices.

Coordinate with management to develop and implement improvements to billing procedures and practices.

Conduct regular audits to ensure billing accuracy and compliance.


Billing Manager Skills and Qualifications:

Extensive knowledge of medical billing, coding, and insurance reimbursement processes.

Strong leadership and team management skills.

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Strong problem-solving abilities and ability to handle complex billing inquiries.

Proficient in billing software and electronic health record (EHR) systems.

Knowledge of healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, Medicare, and Medicaid.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines.

Familiarity with insurance payer guidelines and processes.

Analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data.


Experience:

3-5 years of experience in medical billing, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or managerial role.

Proficiency in billing software and tools (e.g., EHR, practice management software).

Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10 coding, and insurance reimbursement processes.

Experience in healthcare or medical office environments preferred.

Ability to work independently and handle a variety of billing-related tasks.

Strong understanding of healthcare regulations, insurance practices, and claims submission processes.


Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, or related field preferred.

Certification in Medical Billing or Coding (e.g., CPC, CCA) is highly preferred.

Must be able to pass all background checks.
