About the role
We are currently seeking a Billing Specialist to join our Litigation and Dispute Resolution team based in our Melbourne office. This position will specifically support the Medical Insurance group and be responsible for delivering all billing related tasks for a key client.
What does the role involve?
Coordinating and managing client billing and reporting processes, including preparing bills for settlement and submission.
Developing and maintaining client billing guidelines and providing training and advice on processes.
Ensuring all lawyers timesheets are submitted and captured in the system.
Management of disbursements to matters.
Finalising invoices including sending to clients and uploading to client's finance portals where required.
Ensuring billing workflows have appropriate documentation and approvals in place.
Processing time transfers
Maintaining matter budgets on the system
General administration and ad hoc reporting.
About you
You will have billing experience in a corporate environment as well as experience with using financial billing systems (ideally but not necessarily 3E). Legal experience is also preferred but not essential.
You will be comfortable working with and providing guidance to a large number of professionals across the firm. You will need high level computer skills, strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise your work to meet deadlines. A genuine passion for supporting others to achieve their goals is essential, as is a strong work ethic and the ability to work autonomously.
