Job Summary
Zodiac Hurricane Technologies In., a leader in the manufacturing of Rigid Inflatable Boats (RIB) is seeking a Boat Repair Technician for its Delta, BC location.
This position is permanent, full-time, working Monday through Friday starting at 6 am with opportunities for overtime.
We are seeking individuals with a positive mindset and an attention to detail to join our team. Candidates must be willing to work hard in a fast-paced team environment and under pressure to meet deadlines with the ability to lift 50lbs. Electrical, gas, plumbing or carpentry experience is an asset, but not a requirement. Hand tools and safety footwear are required.
Tasks include assembly of various components by hand to complete a product that meets ISO +001 quality standards. Marine experience is a plus.

Duties and Responsibilities
Reading and following electrical schematics and drawing instructions for assembly of boat consoles using 12 Volt DC, 120/240 AC shore power with marine electrical systems knowledge.
Using hand tools and power tools to complete work and tasks assigned with time restraints in mind.
Ensuring the consoles are assembled within the standards of workmanship and meeting quality requirements.
Following and understanding the direction and instructions of supervisors and team leaders while working independently and collaboratively with fellow team members, supervisors, and engineers.
Attaining daily quality work and delivery targets through standardized work.
Following company standard requirements and adhering to policies and procedures on safety and quality protocols.
Troubleshooting electrical and/or assembly problems.
Maintaining a clean and orderly work area.
Completing paperwork as needed.
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements
A minimum of two (2) years of marine electrical experience is required.
Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent.
knowledge of/experience working with 12 Volt DC, 120/240 AC shore power, and marine electrical systems is an asset.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment as well as independently.
Knowledge of navigation systems as an asset.
Must have attention to detail.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Fluent in reading, writing and speaking English.
Strong organizational skills and the desire and ability to learn new things.
Capable of problem-solving and decision-making.
Experience assembling and building products using hand and power tools is an asset.
American Boat and Yacht Council certification (ABYC) is an asset but not required.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Experience working in a manufacturing environment is an asset.
Steel toe work boots are required.
Own a set of hand tools (toolbox or rolling toolbox) is required.
