Our dynamic bookkeeping department are responsible for processing client records and submitting VAT returns. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience to become part of a talented, fast paced team.
Responsibilities:
Office based role but possible visits to clients on-site
Set up appropriate accounting records for new jobs – spreadsheets or accounts software
Work requested from clients in a timely manner to ensure deadlines are met
Incoming records are checked for completeness
Records are processed in an expedient manner being mindful of time budgets
Dealing with queries relating to bookkeeping and VAT
Ensure all records are passed for year-end accounts once the final bookkeeping has been completed
Attend internal and external meetings relevant to the department
Other duties as directed by Senior Managers & Partners
Adhere to all Data Protection and Money Laundering policies issued by Ormerod Rutter.
Essential qualifications/skills:
Knowledge of Sage/Xero/QuickBooks and Microsoft office
1 + years’ experience in a Bookkeeping role
Good verbal and written communication
Organised and methodical
Desirable qualifications/skills:
CCH software experience
Previous experience of working within a Practice environment
Knowledge of VAT schemes
