We are seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring that financial transactions are accurately recorded.
Duties
• Manage and run payroll for our independent contractors
• Perform account reconciliations and maintain general ledgers
• Prepare financial reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Conduct tax preparation and assist with audits
• Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Quicken, and Xero
• Follow generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
• Implement double-entry bookkeeping to maintain financial records accurately
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities
Experience
• Proven work experience as a Bookkeeper or similar role
• Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks)
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations
• Excellent math skills with high attention to detail
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred but not required
