About the Role
As a bookkeeper, you will play a crucial role in managing a portfolio of clients, ensuring their financial records are accurate and compliant. You will have the opportunity to provide technical support and guidance while leveraging the latest cloud-based accounting software.
Key Responsibilities:
End-to-end bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients
Processing financial records in Xero, MYOB, Reckon and other software
Setting up and training clients on accounting software
Preparing and lodging BAS returns and Activity Statements
Managing payroll processing, including leave entitlements and superannuation
Maintaining fixed asset registers
Preparing and reviewing client management reports
Assisting with supplier payments, batch payments, and ABA files
Learning and assisting clients with software add-ons
Contributing to continuous improvement of bookkeeping systems and processes
Providing accurate interpretation of client needs and assisting with research
What We’re Looking For:
Experience: Previous experience in end-to-end bookkeeping within public practice
Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of financial statements, GST, BAS, and taxation legislation
Software Skills: Proficiency in MYOB, Xero, Office & Reckon products, and cloud-based accounting software
Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and efficiency
Communication: Excellent written and verbal skills
Time Management: Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks
Professionalism: Commitment to ethics, confidentiality, and client service
Positive Attitude: Eager to learn, adapt, and contribute to a collaborative team environment
