Job Description
An opportunity has become available for a bookkeeper / financial administrative assistant to join our Sydney CBD based firm 1 day per week. A split day arrangement (eg 2 x half days) will be considered for the right applicant. The nature of your role will require you to be present in our state-of-the-art office located at 185 Clarence Street, Sydney during your working days working alongside our lawyers and administrative team.
This position will suit a smart, friendly, reliable and committed person who has accurate data entry and bookkeeping skills and a “can-do” attitude.
To be considered for this role, you will:
have demonstrated experience and training in all basic accounting functions
have a high degree of accuracy and strong attention to detail
be proficient in the use of Xero, LEAP and MS Office suite
be able to act with sensitivity, discretion and complete confidentiality as required
enjoy working collegiately as a key part of a hard-working team
Duties will depend on what is achievable in 1 day per week, but will ideally include:
reconciliation of office accounts and company credit cards
processing employee expense claims
payroll and superannuation payments
assisting our external accountants with BAS & IAS preparation
liaising with internal and external stakeholders regarding any accounting issues
assisting with invoicing queries and anomalies
There is no trust accounting work required in this role.
