Job Description
We are seeking a motivated Bridge CAD Technician to join our team and contribute to exciting bridge projects. Experience the opportunity to grow your skills in a collaborative work environment.
Responsibilities:
• Assist engineers in utilizing OpenBridge Designer to develop detailed bridge plans and assist with minor design tasks.
• Contribute to project layouts by adding dimensions and organizing title and detail sheets.
• Perform minor mathematical and quantity calculations relevant to roadway and bridge projects.
• Collaborate with engineers to create 3D models with both Open Road Designer and Open Bridge Designer.
• Research and ensure adherence to design codes and guidelines.
• Investigate design options and document findings.
• Coordinate tasks effectively with your project team and supervisor.
• Conduct quality control reviews for design plans and calculations.
• Assist with additional duties as assigned by your supervisor.
• Support other teams and work collaboratively.
Qualifications:
• Associate degree in a technical field or a related discipline.
• 3-10 years of experience in structural and/or roadway drafting.
• Preferred background in Computer Aided Drafting or similar field.
• Familiarity with TxDOT Bridge Detailing Manual and TxDOT Bridge Standards.
• Experience with Open Road Designer is a plus.
• Proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D is advantageous.
• Strong communication skills and ability to function well in a team environment.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screening for a safe workplace.
• Valid driver's license and satisfactory motor vehicle report (MVR).
