PVM is the world's leading broker of oil instruments, including over-the-counter broking of Swaps, Forwards, and Physical Crude Oil and Refined Products, together with exchange broking of WTI, Brent and Gasoil Futures contracts.
Our non-oil business covers broking of Physical and Financial Coal, and EU Carbon Allowances and Offsets.
We provide broking and high quality, value-added execution services for Swaps, Forwards, Physical Oil, Refined Petroleum Products, Futures Contracts and Renewables.
Role Overview
This junior role involves providing comprehensive support to brokers, ensuring efficient trade execution and timely input of transactions into trading systems. Key responsibilities include resolving trade queries, identifying market opportunities, monitoring financial developments, and maintaining up-to-date trade records. As an entry-level position, it also includes liaising with clients to understand their objectives, providing real-time market updates, and assisting with business development by supporting client onboarding and nurturing existing relationships.
Role Responsibilities
Provide complete support to the brokers for the smooth running of the PVM Refined Products desk.
Allocate trades immediately after receiving tickets/deals from the desk and ensure timely and accurate input of all trades into trading systems.
Resolve any trade queries received internally and externally, and ensure any trade discrepancies are resolved in a timely manner.
Keep trade records up to date.
Provide input on various projects for brokers and traders.
Liaise with Operations Department and assist in preparation of P&L.
Provide trade details to brokers and traders on a daily basis.
Reconcile and match broker commissions to trade and update the commission allocation report.
Monitor markets and follow financial news and developments.
Understand the underlying products being traded and keep up to date with knowledge of new products/procedures.
Complete any mandatory training by the required deadlines.
Act with integrity and due skill, care and diligence in carrying out your duties.
Other duties as may be required.
